About

Hey small business owners. My name is Mike Costello. I was born and raised in The Bronx, NY and currently live in Los Angeles, CA. I'm a songwriter & musician with a passion for small business.

 

Spending most of my life in NYC, I was always surrounded by local businesses owned by hard-working, passionate people. People putting their whole lives into their dreams to support themselves and their loved ones.

I moved to Los Angeles in 2018, and my passion for small business has only grown since. Walking into all the coffee shops, restaurants, farmers markets, local shops, you can see a glimpse into everyone's personalities and style. LA has the diverse culture I believe is so important. As humans, it's our differences that help us learn and grow together. 

 

I thrive on others thriving. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to chase what drives them and makes them happy. I have been a bookkeeper for over 11 years now, and my goal is to use my experience to support the small businesses I'm passionate about.   • ​​Initial Quickbooks setup for new companies or clean-up existing companies

  • Organize & input existing transactions to current date

  • Download & categorize monthly transactions

  • Receipt & expense digital filing & organization

  • Reconciliations of all bank, credit card, and additional accounts

  • Provide monthly financial statements

  • Serve as a liaison between client & accountant throughout the year

  • Additional services offered:

    • Accounts Payable (bill payment, check writing, aging reports)​

    • Accounts Receivable (customer invoicing, payment tracking & application, aging reports)

  • Services not offered:​

    • Legal business advice​​

    • Tax preparation

    • Manual payroll (I work with your existing payroll company: ADP, Gusto, etc.)

    • On-site bookkeeping

All potential clients will receive a free consultation. We'll discuss your business, get to know each other, and see if working together is a good fit. I want you to feel like I'm a part of your business and family!

  • ​Please contact me for my hourly rate

  • For new clients: I will work on an hourly rate for the first couple of months, including onboarding, setting up a new Quickbooks account and/or cleaning up your existing books. This will give me an idea of how many hours per month I'll need for your business, so you're getting the monthly rate that suits your needs.

  • I also offer services for freelancers, artists, musicians, etc. Please contact me for rates
